Good Burger! - A Response

Not too many people outside the SpinnWebe gang ever even read these pages, let alone give me feedback, so imagine my surprise to find the following in my mailbox.

Oi I have no doubt that goodburger is the best film that i have ever =
seen , but, to work out the story line requires half a brain cell so you =
probably didnt understand it, and that would explain why you didnt like =
it (but nobody likes your website ,and who do you think cares that you =
dont like goodburger ) So maybe you should start watching tellytubbies =
again maybe you might understand that a bit more but it will still =
confuse you.=20
      eat that !=20

This amused me on so many levels, it's hard to know where to start....

Well, let's start from the top :

Oi I have no doubt that goodburger is the best film that i have ever seen

Having never seen Good Burger (more on that in a minute), I thought I'd look it up on the IMDB for a rating. (4 out of 10)

but, to work out the story line requires half a brain cell so you probably didnt understand it, and that would explain why you didnt like it

WHile on the IMDB, I found out that it's a Nickelodeon movie, for pre-teens. I highly doubt this was written with a subtle, intellectual hidden agenda.

But it does explain the maturity level of Mr. Board's biting commentary.

(but nobody likes your website ,and who do you think cares that you dont like goodburger )

This part amuses me the most, as I'm near positive that this child doesn't know the difference between a web *site* and a web *page*. I can only be thankful he didn't spell it "websight". If he had read the entire site, he'd know the very specific intended audience and that he's not part of it, so no one would be surprised if it weren't his cup of tea. Those people who are part of the audience not only love the site, but many have branched out into similar things on their own sites, to spread the fun.

The big hint was that it's called "The SpinnWebe Home *Companion*", as in a companion site to another which, coincidentally, has nothing to do with Good Burger.

It's also fairly obvious that it escaped his notice that I was not even involved in the conversation on that page. So, it doesn't really matter who cares or doesn't care - I haven't given anyone my opinion on the subject yet. Perhaps he's burnt out his single brain cell watchin Good Burger one too many times.

As a final point, there were only about four lines mentioning the actual movie. I can only imagine how heated his missives get when he encounters an actual Good Burger review or rant page. It must just keep him up nights.

So maybe you should start watching tellytubbies again maybe you might understand that a bit more but it will still confuse you.
eat that !

Ow. Yea, verily, I have been wounded to the quick. Mr. Board's mighty wit hath slain me.
